We had an anonymous call that a couple, Judy & Ronnie Larson or Lawson, were taking the Save-A-Lot coupons we give in our food pantry bags and trying to sell them.  When they came for our food pantry we did not given them any food.

Jennifer Randall was here.  She has left her husband and is trying to get back on her feet.  We gave her a $10 gas card and a box of food.

Cynthia Jones came in today. She said her mother was ill in Charleston, and she needed to get her to the doctor.  We gave her a $10 gas card to Walmart.

Came for nephew's graduation, van broke down, has to be home in Granite City, IL, by 7pm tonight for work. Gave voucher for 5 gallons of gas.

Gave Mr. Johnson a train ticket to Chicago leaving tonight along with a $5 food voucher for IGA. He was ticketed for speeding and suspended license. That's all that shows up online.

Lester Young - May 19

Lester Young was in again today wanting a hotel room.  We don’t provide that type of assistance anymore.  He then asked for a meal at IGA. We don’t do that anymore either.  I offered a small bag of food, but he didn’t take it.

St. John’s Lutheran Church helped JoLana Ribble with a bag of groceries and a $3 gift card to Save A Lot.

We received an anonymous phone call that said Judy and Ronnie Larsen were trying to sell their $3 gift card they received at a Food Pantry.  Just a heads up.

Ethridge Campbell stopped in today, wanting to talk to the Pastor about SPIRITUAL MATTERS.  We offered our food pantry while he was waiting.  He said he starts a job at John Boos on Wednesday.  Pastor said he wanted $20.00. We do not give cash.  He did not want food he could not carry or gas because he doesn't have a car.
