Called wanting to go home to Springfield. Said he just got out of jail. WILL NOT HELP AGAIN! Helped in 2009 and harassed where we got ticket trying to get them to make it round trip on our dime. Trouble in multiple counties. Not sure where he actually lives. Don't recommend helping.

Mike & Rose Eckart

Mike called and said he was trying to get back to Arkansas. He and his wife were in Champaign visiting his mother in hospital? He said his truck broke down and ran out of money. He said he didn't know anyone here and has never stayed here. He said he was staying with sister in Champaign. Upon research he and his wife have been here for months and received help from multiple agencies. I denied help.

Brad Lawrence

May 3, 2012 - Mr. Lawrence came in saying he was just released from jail and needed to go to a shelter. Said the shelter in Mattoon would not let him go there and he was not allowed in Coles County??? Kept flashing multiple sex offender copies from internet and when asked why he had so many copies he just laughed. Gave him a bus ticket to Champaign.

RON SCHREIER

Ron came in wanting to do some work for money.  He stated he was staying at  Paradise Inn and had to pay his rent or leave at 11AM this morning.  We gave him a gift card for food at IGA. St. John's Lutheran Church, Effingham

Brad Lawrence

Came to ask for a way back to Mattoon after being stranded here.  He is on foot.  We were not able to help with $$ for transportation but gave him a card to go get food at IGA.
