On Friday, July 1, Reta Baker came in asking for a gas card to get her home from therapy. We gave her a $10 gas card to Walmart. As she was leaving, a member of our church who was in the office at the same time Reta was, observed her heading the opposite direction from Wal Mart. She decided to follow Reta who proceeded to go to a local pawn shop. Upon entering the shop, she overheard Reta tell the clerk there that she had just spent $500 on video games last week and wished she had gone there first. Whether or not this was true, I don’t know, BUT I do know she had enough gas to go in the OPPOSITE direction of Wal Mart and not home like she stated. She will not be receiving any more help from us.
